Around the Resort

MacKenzie Beach Resort is the oldest year-round resort in Tofino located on a 1 km long beach on the open Pacific Ocean. During the fall, winter, and spring season, 3 to 5 meter waves make this beach a favorite with locals and visitors for surfing. Tide pools can be found at the southern end of the beach and at very low tides you can walk across the sandbar to the island in the middle of the bay. The sunsets on MacKenzie beach are breathtaking, so be sure to take a stroll in the calming colors of a Tofino sunset. Be sure to visit us during the winter season to experience the Wild Pacific Storms as they roll in.
