Terms & Conditions

Because even the wild West Coast has a couple rules.

  • CHECK IN/CHECK OUT

    • Check-In: 4:30 PM (later check-ins can be accommodated).

    • Check-Out: 10:30 AM

    • Late Checkouts: Late check outs may be requested on the day of departure, but are not guaranteed and are at the discretion of Mackenzie Beach Resort.

    • Late Check-Out Fee: 50% of nightly rate (if unapproved)

    ADDITIONAL GUESTS

    All accommodations are priced at double occupancy per bedroom.

    • Additional guests will be charged at $30/night per adult (19+) and $15/night per child (2-18).

    • Each accommodation is limited to the number of guests registered to the unit at the time of check in.

    DOGS

    Only dogs are permitted at MacKenzie Beach Resort. We do not accept any other pets in our accommodations.

    Please note, if you are travelling with a dog, please contact our front desk at 1-250-725-3439 or stay@mackenziebeach.com. See our Pet policy tab for more info.

    • Dogs are permitted in select Airstreams, and Cabins.

    • Dogs are not permitted in select Airstreams, all Surf Bungalows, and the Spartan Imperial Mansion.

    • Guests bringing their pets are subject to a one-time cleaning fee of $60 + tax.

    • Only 2 dogs are permitted per pet accommodation.

    SMOKING

    All of our units are non-smoking. This included the use on e-cigarettes and cannabis products. Please also familiarize yourself with Tofino smoking bylaws.

    BOOKING AND DEPOSIT STANDARD

    • When booking a deposit equivalent to your first night’s stay is charged including tax, the remaining is to be paid on check in.

    • Only Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, and American Express) and select Debit Cards are accepted.

    CANCELLATIONS:

    • We have a strict 14-day cancellation policy. When booking a deposit equivalent to your first night’s stay is charged.

    • If you cancel more than 14 days before the arrival date, we will refund this deposit minus a $50 + tax cancellation fee for each accommodation booked. If you cancel 14 days or less before the arrival date, you will lose your deposit.  If you do not show up for your reservation and did not cancel in advance, you will be charged for the entire stay.

    • PLEASE NOTE: ALL CANCELLATIONS REQUIRE NOTICE BY EMAIL ONLY. No cancellations are accepted by phone.

    • Please send cancellation notification to stay@mackenziebeach.com

    EARLY CHECKOUT OR DAMAGE

    • Refunds will not be issued, including for early checkouts or weather.

    • Non-compliance of resort rules will result in lawful eviction, without refund. If damages occur to the guest unit or other areas of the resort, the cost of the damage and/or clean-up shall be charged to the payment method registered upon check-in.

  • CHECK IN/CHECK OUT

    • Check-In: 2:00 PM.

    • Check-Out: 11:00 AM.

    • Late Checkouts: Late check outs may be requested on the day of departure, but are not guaranteed and are at the discretion of Mackenzie Beach Resort.

    • Late Check-Out Fee: $50+tax (if unapproved).

    ADDITIONAL GUESTS

    • All camping sites are priced at double occupancy and 1 vehicle.

    • A Maximum of 4 Persons are permitted on Regular Forest Camping sites

    • A Maximum of 6 persons are permitted in our XL Forest Camping Site

    VEHICLE SITES

    • The typical maximum size for Forest Camping size 20ft.

    • Expectations for vehicles larger the vehicles are up to 23ft are taken on a case by case basis, and subject to availability.

    • Additional guests will be charged at $20/night per adult (19+) and $10/night per child (2-18)+tax.

    PETS

    Only dogs are permitted at MacKenzie Beach Resort. We do not accept any other pets in our accommodations.

    • Pets are permitted at all campsites

    • Guests bring their pets are subject to a one-time fee of $6 + tax.

    • Only 2 pets are permitted per site.

    Cleaning prior to checkout

    • Campsites and fire pits must be cleared of all garbage prior to check-out.

    • Non-compliance may result in a penalty of up to $50+tax.

    SMOKING

    Even though smoking is permitted, please consider other campers around you. Please also familiarize yourself with Tofino smoking bylaws.

    BOOKING AND DEPOSIT STANDARD

    • A non-refundable reservation fee of $20+tax is required per booking.

    • Payment must be made in full at the time of reservation.

    • Only Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, and American Express) and select Debit Cards are accepted.

    CANCELLATIONS:

    • We have a strict 14-day cancellation policy. When booking a deposit equivalent to your first night’s stay is charged.

    • If you cancel more than 14 days before the arrival date, we will refund your payment minus a $20 + tax cancellation fee (per campsite booked) plus the $20 + tax reservation fee. If you cancel 14 days or less before the arrival date, we will refund your payment minus the first night’s stay plus the $20 + tax reservation fee. If you do not show up for your reservation and did not cancel in advance, you will lose your payment. Any guests wishing to change the arrival and/or departure dates of their reservation within 14 days of your first night reserved, will be charged a $20 + tax service charge per site booked.

    • The reservation fee of $20 + tax is non-refundable.

    • Please call in advance and we will do our upmost to accommodate you and your Dog.

    • Dog friendly cabins do require a one-time pet cleaning fee of $60+tax.

    • Dogs staying within the campground are charged a nightly rate of $6+tax.

    • Maximum of two dogs per unit (not all accommodations accept dogs).

    • Dogs must be on a leash at all times and must not be left unattended.

    • Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pet.

    • Owners must ensure that pets do not make excessive noise, or are aggressive towards other guests. If your pet is deemed disruptive or dangerous you may be required to vacate the property.

    • **Additional charges may be applied for any excessive cleaning, and/or damages caused by your pet while staying with us.
